Endoria is developing a closed-loop Ultra-Deep Geothermal system designed around a single-borehole concept, without hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) of the surrounding formation.

The well itself is based on conventional rotary drilling technology, using drill bits and drilling systems derived from proven oil & gas and high-temperature geothermal practice, but adapted for the extreme temperatures and pressures encountered at depth.
The Iceland Deep Drilling Project (IDDP) provides an important technical reference: IDDP-2 successfully drilled to approximately 4.65 km and encountered supercritical conditions using conventional rotary drilling, with specialized high-temperature drilling, casing and well-completion equipment.

Endoria is currently developing the precise well architecture, materials and high-temperature drilling configuration together with specialist partners. Some aspects are still under development and form part of Endoria's proprietary technology and know-how. We therefore deliberately do not disclose all technical details at this stage.
